We helped Xerox improve their software development productivity by building a distributed object framework using an object modeling CASE tool/code generator. The tool provides a graphic front and an object store that facilitates object-oriented modeling and allows C++ code to be generated automatically from the models. We enhanced the code generator, which could initially produce only standalone, single-threaded applications, to produce communicating multithreaded objects that supported Microsoft and Sun RPC services and ran on Solaris and NT.
